Overlay Mosaic Crochet Patterns
Overlay mosaic crochet is a technique alternating rows of two contrasting colors of yarn. The design is created with single crochet, worked in the back loop only, and double crochet that are worked into the remaining front loop of the same color two rows below. All rows are worked on the right side and, unless you are working in the round, the yarn is cut at the end of each row. Check out the following three examples:
