Country Morning Filet Crochet Valance Set
Wake up to roosters and chickens playing around the barnyard with this country-style filet crochet valance and placemat set. The valance has alternating rooster and hen panels, worked from side to side, to easily customize to your window size. The rod pocket is built into the design with a checkerboard border across the top. The filet crochet placemat has a matching farm scene and checkerboard border.
The valance is shown on a 56″ wide window (typically, a valance should measure about 1-1/2 times the window width to allow for some gathering).
Materials:
- The models were created using dark red cotton crochet thread, size 10, and a size 8 (1.50 mm) steel crochet hook.
- 5/8″ diameter curtain rod to fit window width is also needed.
Finished Sizes:
- Placemat: 17-1/2″ wide x 12-1/2″ high
- Valance: 77″ wide x 16-1/2″ long (from top of rod pocket). The 11″ wide rooster and hen panels allow for customization to your window size.
