Doubled Diamonds Mosaic Crochet Throw

This classic Doubled Diamonds Throw, created with a double overlay mosaic crochet technique, is totally reversible with a different diamond pattern on each side. To complete the look, the envelope border has a mirrored design on each side.

This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions and a design chart for reference. A support tutorial is provided to help with the envelope border.

Materials:

  • The afghan was created with 6750 yds. of acrylic DK weight yarn and a size 6/0 (3.50 mm) crochet hook.
  • A size 7/0 (4.00 mm) crochet hook is also needed for the border slip stitch round.
  • Stitch markers are highly recommended.

Finished Sizes:

  • Afghan with Envelope Border (as shown): 50″ wide x 56-1/2″ long
  • Afghan only: 43″ wide x 49-1/2″ long
