First-Year Memory Temperature Afghan

Now is the perfect time to create a memory afghan commemorating the events of a “first year.” Create a 12-month afghan to record the events of a specific year, or a 13-month afghan starting and ending with the month of birth, wedding, etc.! This calendar-style temperature afghan has a connect-as-you-go motif for each day of the year worked in a color representing the high temperature of the day; twenty different appliqués to mark specific events throughout the year; and a picot border to finish the afghan.

Materials:

The afghan was created with soft worsted weight yarn.
A size H (5.00 mm) crochet hook was used for the daily motifs.
A size G (4.25 mm) crochet hook was used for the appliqués.

Finished Sizes:

12-Month Afghan: 49″ wide x 97″ long
13-Month Afghan: 53″ wide x 97″ long
