Fun & Fancy Crochet Snowflakes Vol. 3

Decorate packages, windows, a tree or wreath with these fun and challenging lacy snowflakes. Connect multiple snowflakes to create an elegant hanging ornament, and add crystal beads and/or glitter paint for an extra touch … or even add an icicle to create a unique ornament for your tree.

All of my snowflake designs are inspired by the photographs of the “Snowflake Man” – Wilson A. Bentley.

Materials:

The snowflakes and icicles were created using white or deep red cotton crochet thread, size 10, and a size 8 (1.50 mm) steel crochet hook.
Stiffening supplies: foam core board, plastic wrap, fabric stiffener, paper towel and rust-proof straight pins.
Optional materials: assorted ribbon, small silk flowers, jump rings, jewelry findings, crystal beads, clear glitter paint, ornament hangers, small suction cups with hook

Finished Sizes:

Instructions are provided for nine large snowflakes, one small and medium snowflake, and an icicle.
