Holiday Poinsettias Filet Crochet Valance
This festive filet crochet holiday valance is covered with beautiful poinsettias and hanging ornaments! Typical filet crochet stitches are used, as well as additional stitches designed to create texture to the leaves and add highlights on the ornaments. The rod pocket, with lacy border across the top, is built into the design to fit a 5/8″ or 3/4″ diameter curtain rod.
This valance is shown on a 56″ wide window (typically, a valance should measure about 1-1/2 times the window width to allow for some gathering).
Materials:
- The model was created using red cotton crochet thread, size 10, and a size 7 (1.65 mm) steel crochet hook.
- A 5/8″ or 3/4″ diameter curtain rod to fit window width is also needed.
Finished Size:
- 69-1/2″ wide x 15-1/2″ long (from bottom of rod pocket)
- A pattern repeat of 11-1/2″ allows adjustment in width to fit your window.
