Two-Tone Plaid Reversible Crochet Placemats

Make these versatile plaid-style placemats in any color to match your décor. They can be used as individual placemats or as a table centerpiece. The reversible plaid effect is created by alternating rows of a light and dark tone of the same color. The four horizontal sections are separated by a single crochet row using metallic thread, and the vertical accents are embroidered on the finished piece. This technique is not as complicated as it looks, only sc and hdc stitches are used to create the design, making one color more prominent on each side!
