Reversible Woven Placemats

Serve up a cold glass of milk and some freshly-baked cookies on these reversible woven placemats. Two border styles are provided: a picot border around the entire placemat or fringe on two ends. This reversible technique is not as complicated as it looks, only sc and hdc stitches are used to create the design, making one color more prominent on each side. 

Materials:

Using two strands held together, the models were created by alternating rows of medium blue with tan cotton crochet thread, size 10, and using a size D (3.25 mm) crochet hook.

Finished Sizes:

  • Picot Border Option: 12″ high x 18-1/2″ wide
  • Fringe Option: 12″ high x 20-3/4″ wide
