August Sun Baby Afghan Set
This bright and sunny August-themed baby afghan set includes the August Sun Afghan, the adorable Fun-in-the-Sun Hat with starfish applique sized for your newborn to 12 month old, the Starfish Tote Bag to carry all your beach toys, and a matching sun hat for your American Girl doll! The afghan and tote bag incorporate a corner-to-corner style technique to create the design. This set is eighth in a series of crochet baby afghan sets using a hybrid of corner-to-corner and filet crochet techniques, with a touch of patchwork and popcorn stitches added to enhance the design.
The American Girl Fun-in-the-Sun Hat is also included in the “Year of American Girl Hats & More…” pattern set.

Materials:
- The baby afghan, sun hat, and tote bag were all created with soft worsted weight yarn and a size G (4.25 mm) crochet hook.
- The American Girl sun hat was created with DK weight acrylic yarn and a size E (3.50 mm) crochet hook.

- Fun-in-the-Sun Hat (circumference): Newborn – 12-1/2″, 6 Months – 15″, 12 Months – 17″
- Starfish Tote Bag: 29″ circumference x 12″ high
