Filet Fusion Interlocking Crochet Pocket Scarves

Do you love combining techniques? The Filet Fusion Pocket Scarves are a combination of interlocking filet crochet for the scarf and my corner-to-corner/filet crochet hybrid technique for the pocket fronts! Since interlocking crochet is created with two layers of crochet mesh that are interwoven, the layers are separated to create the pockets, then interwoven again to complete the scarves.

The scarves are worked in two pieces that are sewn together in the center. The small border on each side and the fringe at each end are added in the border round. The C2C/filet pockets have a coordinating popcorn stitch design and a post stitch ribbing at the top. Four pocket scarves are included in this pattern set:

  • Snowflake Fusion Scarf is covered with beautifully detailed snowflakes, a popcorn snowflake on each pocket and an icicle fringe.
  • Hearts Fusion Scarf is covered with a variety of large and small hearts, a popcorn heart on each pocket and a fringe of hearts.
  • Floral Fusion Scarf has a combination of flowers, butterflies and bees, a popcorn flower on each pocket and a fringe of flowers.
  • Leafy Fusion Scarf has swirling leaves of all sizes, a popcorn leaf on each pocket and a fun leafy fringe.

This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as design charts for reference. Since it contains many diagonals to create the design, it is recommended for someone who is comfortable with the interlocking filet mesh technique. If you haven’t tried diagonals on an interlocking filet mesh project yet, you can learn how on my YouTube Channel! You can also read about it on my blog: Interlocking Filet Mesh with Diagonals.

You can also learn my C2C-filet hybrid technique on my YouTube Channel and read about it, and the various ways it is used, on my blog: Corner-to-Corner & Filet Crochet Hybrid Technique.
