Interlocking Crochet Patterns
Interlocking crochet is a technique created with two layers of crochet mesh that are interwoven. Each color is only worked into stitches of the same color; but worked through the windows of the opposite color creating the design and giving the interwoven effect. There are many ways to accomplish an interlocking crochet project. Check out the following three tutorials:
- Interlocking Snowflake Coaster – learning interlocking filet crochet from start to diagonals.
- Blackwork to Interlocking Crochet – blackwork-style interlocking crochet incorporating long diagonals and solid stitches to create the background “fabric.”
- Snowflake Snowflake! – interlocking crochet with a triangle mesh.
