"Let it Snow" Crochet Snowflake Valance

Keep snowflakes around all year long with this beautiful “Let it Snow” thread crochet snowflake valance. The detailed snowflake designs are created using a hybrid of corner-to-corner and filet crochet techniques. The rod pocket is built into the design with a checkerboard-style border across the top.

This valance is shown on a 36″ wide window (typically, a valance should measure about 1-1/2 times the window width to allow for some gathering).

You can read more about this hybrid technique, and the various ways it is used, on my blog: Corner-to-Corner & Filet Crochet Hybrid Technique.

  • The model was created using icy blue cotton crochet thread, size 10, and a size 7 (1.65 mm) steel crochet hook.
