October Spooks Baby Afghan Set
This fun October-themed baby afghan set includes the brightly-colored Spooky Cat Afghan with popcorn cats and join-as-you-go motifs to create a patchwork look, both the Kitty Cat Hat and Pumpkin Cap sized for your newborn to 12 month old, as well as matching hats for your American Girl doll. All models incorporate a corner-to-corner style technique to create the design. This set is tenth in a series of baby afghan sets using a hybrid of corner-to-corner and filet crochet techniques, with popcorn stitches added to enhance the design.
The American Girl hats are also included in the “Year of American Girl Hats & More…” pattern set.

Materials:
- The baby afghan and hats were created using soft worsted weight yarn and size G (4.25 mm) and/or E (3.50 mm) and F (3.75 mm) crochet hooks.
- The American Girl hats were created using DK weight acrylic yarn and size E (3.50 mm) and D (3.25 mm) crochet hooks.
Finished Sizes:
- Spooky Cat Afghan: 44″ square
- Kitty Cat Hat & Pumpkin Cap (circumference): Newborn – 12-1/4″, 6 Months – 14-3/4″, 12 Months – 17″
- American Girl Hats: 12″ circumference
