September School Days Baby Afghan Set
Get ready for school with this September-themed baby afghan set. This adorable set includes the ABC’s Afghan with popcorn alphabet and a cute apple-style border; the Hooded Letter Jacket sized for your newborn to 12 month old, as well as an American Girl doll; and an Apple for the Teacher plushie! This set is ninth in a series of baby afghan sets using a hybrid of corner-to-corner and filet crochet techniques, with popcorn stitches added to enhance the design.
The American Girl letter jacket is also included in the “Year of American Girl Hats & More…” pattern set.

Materials:
- The baby afghan, jacket and apple plushie were all created using soft worsted weight yarn and size G (4.25 mm), H (5.00 mm), and F (3.75 mm) crochet hooks.
- The American Girl letter jacket was created using DK weight acrylic yarn and size E (3.50 mm) and F (3.75 mm) crochet hooks.
Finished Sizes:
- ABC’s Afghan: 44″ square
- Hooded Letter Jacket (chest): Newborn – 19″, 6 Months – 21-1/2″, 12 Months – 24″
- Apple for the Teacher: 6″ diameter at widest point
- American Girl Letter Jacket: 15-1/2″ chest
