Whimsical Birds Wall Hanging - COMING SOON!
This Whimsical Birds Wall Hanging, worked in filet crochet, uses open spaces, filled blocks, lacet stitches and a few bobble stitches to create this fun design. This pattern includes both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.
The filet crochet technique is akin to crocheting a piece of graph paper with some of the square grids filled in and some left open (or blank) to create an overall design. More open designs, such as the lacet which incorporates multiple grids, can create an even lacier effect! If you’d like to learn filet crochet, check out my YouTube tutorial: Filet Crochet: Learning the Stitches & a Few Extras!
