Kathryn Clark Crochet Designer

Welcome to Kathryn Clark Crochet!

Hi, I’m Kathy Clark! I love to crochet and have been crocheting for 50 years. When I was in sixth grade, I found a pattern for a crocheted vest that I was determined to make. Since neither my mom nor I knew how to crochet, we sat down with the directions and learned to crochet together. I have been “hooked” ever since!

I have always enjoyed creating my own projects. My designing career started with creating my own snowflakes, which have been my favorite subjects to create. I like the symmetry and the intricacy of the snowflakes and the fact that no two are alike, so the possibilities are endless. I try to incorporate snowflakes into my designs whenever possible! I also enjoy working on overlay mosaic and interlocking crochet designs, as well as thread crochet décor and apparel.

After several years of crocheting, I started submitting designs for magazine contests. Being successful in a few contests, I decided to submit my designs for publication and have published several books through Leisure Arts such as my White Christmas in Thread book.

In 2009, I began publishing my own patterns as Crochet by Kathy and now as Kathryn Clark CrochetI hope you enjoy visiting my website and looking through all my creations. If you would like to learn more about me, please check out my About the Designer page.

Happy Crocheting!
Kathy

  1. I can’t believe how extensive your snowflake collection is!!! Given my penchant for them I don’t know how I haven’t run across them sooner. And that reversible technique is to die for … so creative. If you do decide to start that mailing list, please include me. I found you on pinterest thru Snowflake #9. Pretty!

  2. Hi Kathryn, I just wanted to tell you that I just completed your snowflake from YouTube, called lets make a snowflake, I enjoyed your snowflake very much, the video made it easy so I’m hoping to see more of these from you, I tried to subscribe to your channel but wasn’t able to I have a new laptop and I cannot remember my password and then google comes up so I just get frustrated and say the heck with it. Went to do the next snowflake called watercolor and discovered there wasn’t a video, so sad. Let me say thanks again, Ruth

    1. Thank you so much! I’m so glad you enjoyed the Let’s Make a Snowflake tutorial. While it is my only snowflake tutorial, I do have tutorials on other techniques such as overlay mosaic crochet, and interlocking crochet with both squares and triangles.
